Jaro’s New Lead-Free Inductors Meet Future 2005 Requirements
Boca Raton, Florida -- May 23, 2000
Jaro Components, Inc. is proud to announce the new release of lead-free, high-frequency, surface mount (multilayer & wound) inductors. These unique products are designed to meet the upcoming 2005 lead-free requirement, as well as mandatory environmental protection standards that will soon require environmental-impact substances like lead to be eliminated. For companies doing business in Europe, where the sale of lead-bearing electronic products will be restricted after January 1, 2004, this is a big plus. According to JARO spokesperson Dennis Eisen, "In addition to improved environmental effects, the elimination of lead from our inductors has improved the heat resistance property for reflow (paste) soldering. This allows higher melting points for the solder to significantly shrink the process window". The lead-free inductors replace slower arriving LL series inductors.

While most of Jaro's competitors quote a 52 week lead-time for their high frequency parts, Jaro is now quoting 14-16 weeks.

Companies that manufacture digital radios, cellular phones, pagers, and mobile communication units will love the wide range of frequency and inductance applications that these new products provide.

JARO’s new technology allows electronic components to withstand lead-free soldering conditions at high temperatures, surpassing most others in the industry.

The pricing for the new lead-free high frequency HFI inductor is $.12 each @ 100,000 pieces while the HFC inductor runs $.15 each @ 100,000 pieces.

Both products have a 14-16 week lead-time.
