JARO fully realizes and supports the implications posed by the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC), Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center (TIC), Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI), and Electronic Components Assemblies and Materials Association (ECA), as it relates to avoiding conflict minerals. We will do everything in our financial power to discourage and destroy the financial influence and network of armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other countries. To the best of our ability, we declare our mission to comply to the EICC's Electronic Industry Code of Conduct. This policy is being implemented for all conflict minerals. JARO will immediately discontinue doing business with any supplier found to be purchasing materials which directly or indirectly finances or benefits armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo or adjoining countries. To ensure this compliance, JARO will utilize the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-affected and High-risk Areas and where appropriate implement the five step framework for risk-based due diligence in the mineral supply chain. JARO will continue to work through the EICC, GeSI, ECA and TIC towards the goal of greater transparency in the supply chain.
